Let's Eat: Raw Salads

Purple "green" beans from the Eveleigh Market.
A salad of heirloom tomatoes, squash, and purple beans.
A pear, an apple, a mandarin, and a pomegranate.
A delicious fruit salad with the above ingredients.

Sorry I haven't been posting much this week, I haven't had a whole lot to say and I've been working a lot [I leave Sydney in 2 weeks!]. I promise more posting soon! Hope everyone is doing well!

  1. You have a creative way of making salads, have you thought of having a blog on that? Btw, I have never seen purple 'green' beans, do they taste the same?

  2. I've been trying to be more creative with my salad combinations in order to get more raw veggies into my diet. I used to work for a food blog and I may again down the line ... who knows.

The purple green beans do taste the same and they lose their color if cooked. They turn green at the slightest mention of heat and are already green inside. Curiously, the beans themselves are white? Very strange but very tasty.
